Everyone who creates, edits, manages, or purchases digital assets or content for the University has responsibility for ensuring their work is accessible for people with disabilities.
Any digital content you create should be accessible, including emails and documents.

Faculty and Instructors
If you are an instructor, your course content should be accessible regardless of who is in your class. You can start by learning:

Content Creators and Site Managers
If you create web content or manage a site at UA, you can start by learning:

Purchasing & Procurement Officers
If you are procurement staff or are responsible for purchasing technology, you have a responsibility to consider accessibility as a major part of the decision-making process.
Third-party vendors should provide a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) to demonstrate their product’s conformance with the Web Resources Accessibility Policy.

Software Developers
If you write application code and your application will be shared at the University, you will need to follow the most recent version of WCAG Level AA to ensure your application is accessible for people with disabilities.

The Technology Accessibility team at UA is here to educate and consult with you on anything concerning technology accessibility. Our services include:
- Trainings by request for groups who would like help understanding digital accessibility best practices.
- Accessibility reviews of UA websites and remediation assistance.
- Help with implementing accessibility into processes, documents, captioning, websites, and other requests.
