Captioning Tools

There are a few tools that can create transcripts or caption files for audio or video. Panopto, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom have captioning options built-in. While these are good resources to help you get started, remember that transcripts and captions should always be reviewed by a human. 

Panopto

Panopto is UA’s course media manager and lecture capture tool. Users can create videos by recording them within Panopto or upload videos from other sources. UA users have access to use Panopto through their UA account.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration space that includes threaded chats, video conferencing, file sharing and more. All UA users have access to use Microsoft Teams through their UA account.

Zoom
